Associate, Sociology

Born in Tucson, Arizona, but raised in Argentina, Emilia moved back to Arizona in 2018 to get her Master’s degree in applied sociology after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2020, she moved to Fort Collins and is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Sociology with a focus on environmental sociology, qualitative research methods, community-based approaches, and immigration issues. She is passionate about conducting research with applied goals and perspectives towards social and environmental justice. Having studied sociology for more than 10 years, she enjoys being part of interdisciplinary teams, learning from other perspectives and points of view, and getting involved in the communities where she works.
