Team facilitation and LEED certification management to achieve net positive energy

The Client: Davis Davis Architects

The Challenge: Davis Davis Architects sought for its multi-unit residential townhomes, located in Old Town Fort Collins, to surpass LEED Platinum and potentially achieve the world’s first LEED Positive certification. With such ambitious goals, they needed an expert to guide the LEED process.

Our Approach: Working with Energy Logic, IBE helped guide the team to achieve their net positive energy goals and managed the LEED certification process.

The Outcomes: The project is making global impact as IBE works with the U.S. Green Building Council to inform development of the not-yet-launched LEED Positive certification – a program to recognize long-term regenerative and restorative design projects. With sustainable features that include geothermal energy, photovoltaics, and nearly 100% airtight enclosures, L’Avenir provides a glimpse into the future of homes. The project has received numerous awards and certifications and is pursuing Living Building Challenge Petal Certification.
