Facilitating community charrettes to develop vision and sustainability goals for affordable housing
IBE partnered with the Urban Land Conservancy, Studio Completiva, the City of Fort Collins, and Elevation Community Land Trust to facilitate a series of community engagement charrettes for a future affordable housing and mixed-use development in Fort Collins, CO. IBE guided conversations about potential sustainability, human health, and affordability strategies. This dialogue contributed to an updated development master plan that included five pillars: Education; Stewardship of the Land; Place + Community; Health, Happiness and Wellness; and Sustainability in the Built Environment. The master plan will be used to further engage the community in the project approval process.
