IBE partnered with the government and citizens of Pierre, SD to make the city a better, more accessible place to walk.

IBE formed a team to conduct a walking audit, evaluation of traffic patterns, current infrastructure, multimodal accommodations, city policies, and growth areas. Additionally, IBE facilitated two public meetings to gather citizen input on the city’s walkability. This study was funded by grants from the South Dakota Department of Health and the South Dakota Discovery Center.
